He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gardner and Dorothy Gardner (Sublett); his former spouse Shirley Gardner (Chaudoin); his wife Donna Gwin; his brothers, Gerald Gardner and Glynn Gardner; and his daughter Dana Gardner Scott.

He is survived by: his brother Gary Gardner (Debbie); his children, Rick Gardner (Nora) and Debbie Gillette (Rob); and his grandchildren, Jordan Chapman (Brett), Trevor Gillette (Rachel), Tanner Gillette (Kristen), Baylee Barger (Brock), Blake Gardner (Mattie), Grant Gardner and Alexa Gardner. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sunny Lane Cemetery (4000 SE 29th St, Del City, OK 73115).
