She is survived by: her children, Lona Donise Sowell, Karen Aenease Downum (Jake) and Christopher Lewis Sowell (Debera); her brothers, George Kennedy and Jodie Kennedy; and her sister-in-law Rene Ann Kennedy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
