She was predeceased by: her parents, C. F. "Frank" Brassfield and Hattie M. Brassfield (Durham). She is survived by: her son Fob Jones (Tracy); her granddaughter Meredith Jones; and her friend Donna Perhus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made in LaWanda's memory to the Arbuckle Hospital Foundation or to the Sulphur School Foundation.
