He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Cottrell and Gertie Cottrell (Jeter); his former wife Betty Ingram; his brother Jimmy Cottrell; and his sons, Terry and Royce Blevins.
He is survived by: his wife Harriette Gay; his children, Pam Craig (Mike) of Davis, David Cottrell and Dale Fondren; his grandchildren, Joseph Giddens (Kristin), Travis Strickler (Shelly), Brittany Uhles (Bobby), Michael Blevins, Kelsey Blevins, Tabbetha, Cejae Blevins, Cassie, Lex Fondren and Ava Fondren; his siblings, Emagene Gibbs of Pauls Valley and Jerry Cottrell (Mona) of Oklahoma City; and his daughters-in-law, Detra Blevins and Claudia Blevins. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
