He was predeceased by: his parents, Cassie Summers (Palmer) and Lonnie Charles Summers; his brothers, Donald Ray Summers and Guy Gene Summers; and his nephew Chad Reynen.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Huggins; his daughter Christy Summers Vineyard; his son-in-law Billy of Stonewall; his son Michael Summers; his daughter-in-law Sherry of Sulphur; the mother of his children Phyl Foster (Eulis) of Davis; his mother-in-law Lorraine Mitchell (GW) of Davis; his sisters-in-law, Lynn Reynen (Kenny) of Davis and Lisa McCarty of Oklahoma City, Okla.; his siblings, Paul Dean Summers (Lucky) of Davis and Charlene Nieto (Tito) of California; his grandchildren, Chris Vineyard (Jourdan), Brittany Harjo (Matt), Brittany Summers, Callee Graham, Cloee Graham and Carlee Summers; his great grandchildren, Emily, Melany, Mattilyn, Wyatt, Gracie, Rylee and Issac; and his nieces and nephews, Tammie, Kathy, Charlie, Lonnie, Richard, Shelly, Jeff, Shane, Robert, Steven, Amber, Blakely and Braden.
Carl asked two things of his memorial service: that no one wear a tie and that friends be given options to attend the service due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
