It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paulo Cortez of Davidson, Oklahoma, born in Three Rivers, Texas, who passed away on April 9, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernardino Cortez and Maria Cortez (Perez); and his children, Ismael Cortez, Sr. and Esther Cortez. He is survived by: his wife Rosalinda Lopez Cortez; his children, Hector Cortez, Sr. (Karen Brady) of Davidson, Jeremiah Cortez of Davidson, Oklahoma, Dora Cofer of Wichita Falls, Irene Cortez (Jameson Davis), Irma Cortez of Davidson, Becky Franklin (Michael) of Baker City, Phebe Cortez of Davidson and Priscilla Cortez of Altus, Oklahoma; his daughter-in-law Mary Ann Cortez of Davidson, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Lasaro Cortez of Temple, Elias Cortez (Dalia) of Lamesa, Texas, Anita Deleon of Temple and Mary Mojica of Lamesa, Texas. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
