He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sr. Ellis and Beulah Ellis (Nelson); his son Mark Ellis; his grandchildren, Lori Howard and Jimmy Ray Patton; and his siblings, David, Doug, James Jr., Jackie Elllis, Pearle Wynn, Joyce Gandy, Ima Jo Cogdill and Phyllis Fellows.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Ellis of Cyril, Mike Patton (Tammy) of Lindsay, Sondra Jessen (Keith) of Cyril and Renee Stewart of Cyril; his grandchildren, Meagan, Roy, Jenica, Edwin, David and Aileene; his great grandchildren, Timberlee, Derrick, Aleanna, Hannah, Ryland, Madison, Emma, Kambrie and Tyler; and his great great grandchild Harper Harrison. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Comanche County Memorial Hospital Hospice, the Family Life Church in Cyril, or the Banner Baptist Church in Lindsay.
