He was predeceased by: his parents, Len Brown (Doc) and Rhoda Brown (Hood); his wife Peggy Brown; his niece JoAnn Gibson; his son-in-law James Liles; and his siblings, Gladys Wyatt and Ray Brown.

He is survived by: his children, Shirley Liles of Cyril, Connie Moser (Ronny) of Noblesville, IN and Mike Brown (Cathy) of Marshfield, MO; his niece Michelle Wein (Paul) of Tulsa; his nephew Kent Gibson of Cyril; and his grandchildren, Nela Edwards (Jimmy), Justin Brown, Cari Baker (Marcus), Drew Moser (Bekah), Travis Moser (Annette), Christi Epperson, Stephanie Turpin (Allen) and Koby Gibson (Ashley). He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
