He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson (Vesta Tinnie) and Lorene (Francis "Dusty" Wilson); his siblings, Sammy Tinnie, Connie Wilson-Smith, Donnie (Charlene Hammock), Monroe Lewis and John Herbert Lewis; his brother-in-law Leon "Bootie" Butler; his sister Daphne (Roscoe Bailey); and his parents-in-law, Lucille and John Phillip Lamb.
He is survived by: his wife Etha Tinnie; his sons, Jonathan (Sarah Tinnie) and Preston; his siblings, Darlene (Ron Sale), Charlotte Butler, Randy (Pam Wilson), Rhonda Corean and Evalee (Billy Rowe); and his sister-in-law Margaret Lewis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
