Though Orvil Harold may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Orvil Harold touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parent Leonard; his sister Ruth Steward; and his son Stanley Lynn Akins. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Akins (Gibby); and his children, John Akins (Jan) of Ripley, Oklahoma and Laurea Sue Akins of Grand Prairie, Texas. He is also survived by three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home (800 S Linwood Ave, Cushing, OK 74023). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Yale Assembly of God (777 Glory Rd, Yale, OK 74085). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Lawson Cemetery (3003 N Lawson Rd, Yale, OK 74085).
