He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Gillespie and Allie Gillespie; his siblings, Kenneth Gillespie and Patricia Fillmore; and his grandson Dash Dennis.

He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Dennis (Eugene) and Audrey Gerfen (Chris); his grandchildren, David Gerfen (Brittney), Janene Stewart (John), Jerod Gerfen (Lauren) and Rhiannon Dennis; and his great grandchildren, Emma Brundrett (Jake), Abby Steward, Jenna Stewart, Sheridan Battles, Zaya Battles and Elliott Gerfen.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Karman Legacy Hospice.
