He was predeceased by : his parents, Clement Atkinson and Betty Atkinson; his parents-in-law, Johnny and Velma Smith; and his grandchildren, Reed Atkinson, Josephine Hardt and Fynn Hardt.
He is survived by : his brothers, Albert and Ted; his wife Brenda Atkinson; his children, Jeffrey Atkinson (Erin), Amanda Atkinson, Alisha Hardt (Phillip) and Andrea Atkinson; his grandchildren, Brenna and Sydney Atkinson; and his siblings, Marcella Easter, Hank, Richard and Cody Atkinson. He is also survived by siblings and many nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
