He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard LaRue and Imogene LaRue (Stranbrough); his wife Tonia; and his siblings, Geneva and Max.

He is survived by: his sons, K. R. LaRue (Dana) of Crescent and Chris LaRue of Crescent; and his grandsons, Landon and Logan LaRue (Courtney).
