She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ray and Ethyl Ray; her sisters, Beth Watkins, Virginia Hickey and Nancy Schwartz; and her daughter Karen (Merle).

She is survived by: her husband Merle Batterton; her son Clinton Batterton (Robert Powell); her grandson Chris Lee Roberts (Jonathon LaValley); and her sisters-in-law, Iris York and Juanita Weber. She is also survived by many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great nephews and loving friends.

Contributions in lieu of flowers should be made to the Cherokee Food Pantry through the funeral home.
