He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lawless and Dora Lawless; his wife Marie Lawless; his sons-in-law, Les McNiff and Eddie Johnson; and his siblings, Clyde, Roy, Melvin Lawless, Iva Benjamin and Alma Moberly.

He is survived by: his daughter Joy; and his brothers, Dale and Bob Lawless. He is also survived by many grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends.
