He is survived by: his wife Linda Gumm-Miller; his children, James Lynn Doty (Brandy), Cindy Holcombe (Gregory), Kendra Larson (Andrew) and Soloman Miller Jr.; his siblings, Peggy Kirby, Pricilla Ramey (Jimmy), Dianne Miller and Johnnie Miller (Susan); and his sister-in-law Cynthia Tillett (Ricky). He is also survived by 11 grand-children, 4 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
