He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Thomas Shaw, Sr. and Bonnie Jane Hoops (Pence); his stepfather Leland L. Hoops; and his sister LuAnn Field. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Lyne Shaw; his sons, Buck Thomas Shaw (Marecca) of Wagoner, OK, Justin Thomas Shaw (Jalee) of Wagoner, OK and Billy Dale Shaw (Savannah) of Coweta, OK; his stepchildren, Moon of Coweta, OK and Leslie Lance of Haskell, OK; his siblings, James Shaw (Vicki), Lonnie Shaw (Tina) and Dolorous Hillhouse (Larry); and his grandchildren, Gracie, Miranda, Willow, Joseph, Embrie, Sydnee and Ethan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
