He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvis Henry Adams and Cozetta Vernie Holder Adams; his brother Elvis Lee Adams; and his grandson Richard A. Schmid. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Adams; his son Mark Adams of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Richard D. Schmid of Prosper and Karyn Schmid-Zerr (Phillip) of Hillsboro, Oregon; his siblings, Wanda Welsh of Monument, Retha Holzwarth of Porterville and Donald Garner (Wanda) of Nampa, Idaho; his grandchildren, Ryan Stearns, Karyssa Stearns, Jakob Zerr and Brandi Schmid; and his great grandchildren, Oliver Rodriquez, Anna Stearns and Theodore Rodriquez. He is also survived by many friends and extended family.
