He was predeceased by: his parents, Abe Burgess and Edna Faye Burgess (Snelson); his grandparents, Richard and Clema Snelson; and his nephew Richard Burgess.
He is survived by: his daughters, Audra Burgess-Perteet (John) of McAlester, OK and Morgan Reese (Wes) of Coweta, OK; his granddaughter Roxanne Burgess-Perteet; his brothers, Vic Burgess of Tulsa, OK and Ross Burgess (Gina) of Coweta, OK; and his half-siblings, Lori Burgess and Chebon Burgess. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
