He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Leslie and Cora Jnema Copeland (McKenzie); his wife Joyce Copeland; his siblings, Lois Stephens, Joanne Moore and Tunny Copeland; and his son-in-law Alan Holmes.

He is survived by: his children, Patsy Holmes-Milliger (Larry) of Broken Arrow, OK, Cathy Bristol (Larry) of Coweta, OK and Wayne Copeland (Kim) of Coweta, OK.; his siblings, Cleo Copeland (Vonda) of Coweta, OK, Hazel Warshum of Little Rock, AR and Donna Fricki; and his nephew Steven Stephens. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
