He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond McKellips and Lillian McKellips (Fuller); his wife Verda; his brothers, Richard and Larry; his great grandchild Forrest Deatherage; and his siblings-in-law, Marvin Threlkeld, Ernie Sisson, Ruben Sisson, Rachel Schaffler, Jenny Sisson, Orlene Sisson and Donita Jean McKellips.

He is survived by: his children, Judy Majors (Steve) of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Roger McKellips (Julie); his grandchildren, Stacy Scribner (Patrick) of Midland, Texas and Steven Majors, Jr. of Fort Collins, Colorado; his brother Terral McKellips (Karen) of Lawton, Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, Dayton Deatherage of Austin, Caz Quain of Midland, Rowen Sky Majors of Fort Collins, Colorado and Sage Majors of Tacoma, Washington; and his sisters-in-law, Margy Threlkeld of Lynwood and Bonnie Whitlow (Bill) of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
