He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Thomas Yates of Washington; his wife JoAnn Coleman Yates; his children, Leo E. Yates Jr., Damon G. Yates and David L. Yates; his daughter-in-law Deena Yates; his grandchildren, Chelsea A. Yates, Kelin D. Yates and Jillian N. Yates; his great grandchildren, Carissa and Gabriella; his parent Lesley Aloe Yates; and his brother Clifford Yates.
