It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernile Girdner of Cookson, Oklahoma, born in Bunch, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 4, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eliza Jane Hallmark (Glass) and Bill Girdner; her husband George Longshore; her brother Rabbit Hallmark; her children, Andrew McCann, Kendra Vaughn and Marietta McCann; and her grandson-in-law John Pewo.
She is survived by: her siblings, Barbara Girdner, Johnny Hallmark, Mitchel Hallmark and Alice Hallmark; her children, Sam, Ann McCann of Niles, OH, Rosetta, Travis Anderson of Fletcher, OK, Loretta and Kevin Sutton of Drumwright, OK.; her grandchildren, Matthew "Whitewolf" McCann (Carolynn Drywater) of Cookson, Kayla Ann McCann of Ohio, Samantha McCann, William Robbins of Sharon, PA, Celeste, Marcus Chambers of Sand Springs, OK, Nathan McCann of Niles, OH, Hilory Leatherwood of Medicine Park, Hailey Anderson of Jenks, OK, Hannah Anderson of Fletcher, OK, Waymon, Kaelynn Thompson of Yukon, OK, Cherokee Cheesman of Stillwater, OK and Lindsey Cheesman of Stillwater, OK; and her great grandchildren, Zoe Stumpf, Jersei Stumpf, Nicholas Stumpf, Leland Stumpf, Dexter Robbins, Sariah Chambers, Mylah Chambers, Angel Ware, Samara Ware, Avery Pewo, Lil "Big" John Pewo, Kayl Ketcher, Rilynn Cox, Rory Thompson and Ava Cheesman. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
