We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2025, at the age of 83, Barbara Ann Mathers of Commerce, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Ranson and Velma Lenora Anderson (Young); her husband Emerson Fitzgerald; her sons, Danny Ray Buchanan and Charles Allen Buchanan; her great great grandchild Amelia Rosealyn; and her siblings, Jerry Dale Anderson, Elmer Anderson, Freddy Anderson and Avelene "Eve" Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Mathers (LaReina) of Broken Arrow, OK, Rebecca Kelly of Gatesville, TX and Renee Johnson Patterson (Brian) of Verdigris, OK; her siblings, Riley Eugene Anderson (Sue) of Miami, OK, Linda Williams (Tommy) of Miami, OK and Brenda Lasiter of Peoria, OK; her grandchildren, Amanda Baker, Zachary Mathers, Joseph Allen Sadler (Breanna), Brittany Castodio (Matthew), Emily Kelly and Travis Patterson (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Brady Castodio, Cooper Castodio, Laynie Castodio, Tatum Patterson, Liam Allen Sadler, Nathaniel Aiden Sadler, Whitney Buchanan, Kelsey Walsh (Ryanna) and Megan Rogers (Kawlan); and her great great grandchildren, Everett Thomas Rogers and Leigha Hope Gonzalez.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Miami (1432 B St NW, Miami, OK 74354). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Highway Tabernacle Church (220 S Main St, Quapaw, OK 74363).
