He was predeceased by: his father Duriel "Duke" Scales; and his brother Kelly. He is survived by: his mother Sharon Scales of Eakly, OK; his wife Kimberly Cope; his daughter JaCee; his son-in-law Lee Nurnberg; his grandchildren, Taeler and Paisli of Colony, OK; his daughter Toni; his brother Daryl; his parents-in-law, Bobby and Carolyn Cope of Eakly; his brother Devery; his sister-in-law Trenda Kelly of Eakly; and also, Brian Busby, Charli, Loxli of Cushing, OK and Jeanine of Eakly, OK. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and a host of relatives and friends.
Gary's family requests donations be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place.
