He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Thornton and Merle Thornton (Walker); and his siblings, Billy, Robert Thornton and Glenda Terrill.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Thornton of Collinsville; his daughter Tonya Buster (Brownie) of Nowata; his grandson Baron Buster of Nowata; and his siblings, Norma Crockett of Inola, Diane Hixon (Eddy) of Tulsa, Johnny Thornton of Tulsa and Jimmy Thornton (Karen) of Sand Springs.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dighton Moore Funeral Home (116 N Main St, Owasso, OK 74055). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dighton-Moore Funeral Service Chapel (116 N Main St, Owasso, OK 74055).
