It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Rupert McEntire of Coalgate, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carl Rupert McEntire to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson McEntire and Esther Hope McEntire (Whitwell); his wife Pat (Pruett); his son Clark; his grandson Patrick Pritchard; and his brothers, Robert Lee and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his daughter Gail Pritchard (Kevin) of College Station, TX; his grandchildren, Andrew Pritchard of Tucson, AZ and Megan McEntire of Willard, MO; his great grandchildren, Alex, Nick and Madison McEntire of Willard, MO; and his sister Marjorie Crow of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
He, Pake McEntire, and Johnny Ward played 100 consecutive nights while sheltering in place during the CoVid-19 outbreak.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to be made to the Cairo Cemetery Association.
