She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Jasmine. She is survived by: her husband Charles Pitts August; her children, Tosha Pitts and C. J. Pitts, Jr.; and her siblings, Diane Fisher of Clinton, Clifford Jefferson (Carolyn), E. L. Jefferson (Linda) and Joe Jefferson (Linda). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
