He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert William and Mildred Fay Johns (Davis); his siblings, Jack Johns, Anne Pebworth and Ethel Cooper; and his nephews, Michael Pebworth and Tyler Johns.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Cavender; his children, Roxanne, Rhonda (Mark) and Richard (Anna); his grandchildren, Hayden, Nikki, Desirae, Ben, Haylee, Robert, Cole, Peyton, Autumn and R. J.; his great grandchildren, Dayln, Eli, Jack and Roland; his brother Ray Johns; his uncles, Russell and Ralph; and his aunt Dee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
