She was predeceased by: her parents, John Friesen and Irene Friesen (Rempel); her husband Vernon Nickel; and her siblings, Lucille Nickel, Helen Heibert, Lorene Friesen, Paul Friesen, Bill Friesen and Willard Friesen.

She is survived by: her children, Toni Nickel (Amber Ruiz) of Moore, OK, Lynn Nickel (Ellie) of New Smyrna, FL and Chuck Nickel (Kasey) of Clinton, OK; her sister Lois Barnhart of Phoenix, AZ.; and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Chelsea, Cameron and Lince.
