He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Perkins and Jean Perkins (McClure); and his children, Teresa Swaim and Darrel Jaquess. He is survived by: his wife Jolene Vandiver; his son Russ Perkins (Sahra); and his siblings, Silvia Perkins of Kentucky and James Calvin Perkins (Kelly) of Colorado. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
