It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ruth Pool of Clinton, Oklahoma, born in McLeansboro, Illinois, who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Steele and Madeline Steele (Nipper); her husband A. W. Pool; her children, Christy Lynn Pool and Greg Pool; and her siblings, Oakley Steele, Otha Steele, Orpah, Stelle Bond, Ora Newton Steele, James Monroe Steele, Ruby Alice Steele, Williams, Ella Mae Steele Harre, Helen Eldora Steele Townson and Lillian Steele.
She is survived by: her sons, Winston Pool (Marie) of Clinton, OK. and Keith Pool (Nancy) of Clinton, OK.; and her grandchildren, Jason Pool, Tucker Pool, Chris Pool, Jeremy Pool, Ty Pool, Bradley Pool, Jake Pool, Caleb Pool, Ethan Pool and Lacey Hough. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
