He was predeceased by: his mother Stella Howling Buffalo; his siblings, Butch Howling Buffalo and Lisa D. Fox; his grandmother Nina Howling Buffalo; and his aunt Imogene Howling Buffalo.

He is survived by: his uncle Hiram Howling Buffalo (Larry Howling Buffalo). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
