He was predeceased by: his parents, Zora Smith and Velma Smith; his wife Bobbie Carr Smith; his stepdaughter Barbara Bowman; and his siblings, Floyd Smith, Norma Jean Smith Kauk, Layton Smith and Leroy Smith (Rick).
He is survived by: his daughter Felicia Smith Vaughan (Joe Vaughan) of Lewisville, TX; his stepdaughters, Deborah Gardner (James Mowles) of Lewisville, TX and Sharon DeGrado (Daniel DeGrado) of Tyler, TX.; and his siblings, Bill Smith of Arapaho, OK and JoAnne Smith Quintel of Lawton, OK. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He passed on December 22, 2020, from Covid complications, at the Clinton VA Center.
