She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Hill and Effie Hill (Watson); her husband Herman Tisdale; her children, Gertie Richardson, Billy Bob Carr and Harry Tisdale; her siblings, Elizabeth Schuyler, Della Mae West, Willie Mae, Belle Hill and Johnny Hill; and her grandchildren, Harry Phillips Hill and Alicia Allen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Willie Allen (Robert) of Clinton, Marilyn Hester (Johnny) of Clinton and Ida Marie Dowing; and her sister Kathrine Vimbule. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
