She was predeceased by: her parents, David Lovejoy Griffin and Georgia Marie (Taylor); her daughter Viola Gouldsby; and her sister Karen Griffin-Russ. She is survived by: her sisters, Sharon Taylor, Davie Murphy, Tyra Harris, Dallas and Daretta Griffin; and her grandsons, Lance Delana and Clinton. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
