He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clarence Byrd and Edna Mae Byrd (Henley); his wife Angela May Hulett; his grandson R. C. Byrd; and his great grandchild Finley Grace Ray.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Jane Ernst and Nettie Seale (Don); his close friend Wilma Lantz of Clinton; his grandchildren, Shelby Ray (Gene), Garret Warnick (Sara), Marci Salzman (Dan) and Chelsea Willoughby (Jakeb); and his great grandchildren, Greer Ray, Hollis Ray, Baby Girl Ray, Mackie Jane Warnick, Tate Warnick, Mia Salzman, Thea Salzman, Jack Salzman, Colt Byrd and Hunter Willoughby.
