She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Colby and Marguerite Colby (Strayer); and her siblings, Joyce Fox, Ilah Jeffrey, Mary Jane Johnson, Harry Colby, Ken Colby and David Colby.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Olson (Bonita) of Spring Branch, TX and Marcia Frederick of Choteau, OK; her granddaughter Amy Gilmore (Matthew) of Seattle, WA; her children, Marissa Connolly (Peter) of Branson, MO, Adam Olson (Michelle) of San Antonio, Ben Frederick of Choteau, OK, Tracy Richards (Brandon) of Pryor, OK and Sara Beth Frederick of Inola, OK; and her great grandchildren, Ellis, Damon, Edison, Adalyn, Emma, Jack, Thorin and Connor.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (1615 OK-88, Claremore, OK 74017). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (310 S Nome Ave, Claremore, OK 74017).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Virginia's memory be directed to the "Vision 2030 Project" at First Methodist Church of Claremore.
