He was predeceased by: his parents, Alita Smith and Rolland Smith; and his sister Pamela Jonas. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his daughters, Melissa Mitchell and Jennifer Edie; his grandchildren, Ryan Edie, Owen Mitchell and Nate Mitchell; and his sister Sherrill Ison (Jim). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
