He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Leigh and Ruby Helen Leigh; his siblings, Buelah Wells, Leon Leigh, Bobby Leigh and Bill Sowells; and his grandparents, Lankford Leigh and Frankie Leigh.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Leigh; his daughter Beverly (Rob Hageman); his grandson Micah John Moore; and his sister Rachel Updegraff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews combined with his wife's family along with his cousins.
