He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine and Nichols; and his sister Mary Ellen Shanks. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his daughter Rae Difer (Rex); his stepchildren, Gina and Earnest (Melisa); and his siblings, Danny (Alieta Nichols) and Loretta (Mike). He is also survived by eight step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
