The memory of Gerald Bruce Smith of Claremore, Oklahoma, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on October 6, 2024 at the age of 69, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Eugene and Etta Mae Smith (Ball); his brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Caldwell; and his father-in-law Donald Rust. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his daughters, Shannon Smith of Phoenix, AZ and Caitlyn Fosse (Chase) of Arlington, TX; his siblings, Jeffrey "Jeff" Smith (Linda), Dennis "Denny" Smith (Mary) and Janet "Jan" Caldwell; his mother-in-law Lynn Rust; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Rust and Robin Rust (Ray Ealey).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name and loving memory to the Claremore FMC Food Pantry or Habitat for Humanity.

“Jerry was a true best friend to me, we met in 1987 thru our business relationships and became friends from that point on. A great friend, mentor and all around " bud". Jerry even had an impact on my kids lives growing up and they knew how much I cherished our friendship. Could always count on him to be there for advice or just a "pick me up" call.
