He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Braswell and Anna Christine Braswell (Ritchie); his stepmother Ruth Braswell; and his brothers, Paul and Phillip Braswell.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Braswell; his children, John Braswell (Deana) of Baton Rouge, George Braswell (Ariel) of Edmond, Oklahoma and Christine Cavins (Christian) of McKinney, Texas; his grandchildren, Joseph Braswell, Nora Braswell, Finn Braswell, Kennedy Braswell, Carter Cavins and Callen Cavins; and his siblings, David Braswell of PRyor, Oklahoma, Sharon Zern (Leidy) of Burnsville, Katherine Braswell and Tessa Sills (Brad) of Andover, Kansas. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
