She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude A. Brown and Margarette E. Brown (Clark); her husband Jack Shorter; her sister Annie; and her son David.
She is survived by: her brother Don Brown; her children, Dr. Jack Shorter (Alma), Mike Shorter (Laurie) and Joyce Kerns (Scot); her grandchildren, Amber Day (Michael Day), Matthew Freeman (Whitney), Rachel Hill, Mallorie Woodruff (Geoffery), Adam Shorter (Heather), Macie Kaase (Trevor) and Mabrie Yarnell (Dayden); and her great grandchildren, Dilon, Cadence, Brayden, Henry, Zakry, Liam, Harlee, Fynnley, Ellison, Marlow, Quinn, Ivy, Rylan, Jack, Owen, Dawson and Hadley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
