As David John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved David John. Though David John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his father John Robert Cowan. He is survived by: his mother Janie Carol Slavens (Brewster) of Tool, TX; his children, Tyler of Broken Arrow, OK and Hailey of Tulsa, OK; his sisters, Jennifer Cowan and Amanda Jones of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and his nephews, Levi, Colten Jones of Stillwater, OK and Kodi Marsh of Twin Falls, Idaho. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rice Funeral Service (631 E Will Rogers Blvd, Claremore, OK 74017). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
