She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie William Wilson and Lena Lanoe Wilson (Phillips); and her former husband Robert Clifton. She is survived by: her husband Adolphus Ray Dawson; her children, Sacheen Platten (Michael) of Claremore and Seth Dawson (Tina) of Aurora; her brother Charles Wilson (Connie) of Charleston; her grandchildren, Spencer, Bailey Dawson, Preston and Sophia Platten; her niece Kimberly; her nephew David Kascak; her great-niece Sadie; her nieces and nephews, Chaz and Kirstin Wilson; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Charley and Elyse; her cousin Del Wilson of Tulsa; and her child Ministries.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel (201 N Wilson St, Vinita, OK 74301). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (822 N 2nd St, Vinita, OK 74301). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Claremore First Methodist Church (1615 OK-88, Claremore, OK 74017).
