Norma Jean Bendure Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Bendure of Chouteau, Oklahoma, born in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Norma Jean departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Norma Jean may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Norma Jean leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Gore and Goldie Austin Gore; and her siblings, Jim Gore, Marilyn Sue Gore Thornberry and Cheryl Rene Gore Jones.
She is survived by: her husband James E. Bendure of Chouteau; her children, Jamie Bendure of Springdale, Arkansas and Robert; and her daughter-in-law Susan Bendure of Fayetteville, Arkansas.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Stephens - Key Chapel (1525 NE 1st St, Pryor, OK 74361). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (703 State Hwy 82, Locust Grove, OK 74352).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First United Methodist Church of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, in Norma's name.
