He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Grady and Mamie Hand Sledge; his wife Mary Moreland; and his siblings, Ruby, Clara, Eugene, Ervin and Billy.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth King (Mike) and Dale Sledge; and his grandchildren, Katherine King, Khalie Perez, Jarahmy Fletcher, Joley Sledge, Breelyn Sledge and Koleton Sledge. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
