He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Arthur Garrett, Pauline Garrett and Catherine McCune; his brother James Tyra; his brothers-in-law, Jim Richardson and Jerry Harkrider; and his granddaughter Hope Tyra.
He is survived by: his parents, Richard N. Tyra and Charlotte Tyra; his wife Pamela; his sons, Rick (Sonya) and Rodney (Melissa); his grandchildren, Macy, Cole, Tanner, Seth, Saylor, Steel and Cassidy; and his sisters, Cathy McCoy (Donald), Linda Harkrider, Francis Weidenhaft (Steve) and Terrie Richardson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
