He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Russell Marling and Edith Hixenbaugh Marling of Shadyside; his siblings, William J. Russell H., Gerald D., Robert L., Emma Lou and Beth Ann; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Carpino, G. Kent Moore and Marilyn Marling.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Gasaway Marling of Choctaw, OK; his son Richard V. Marling Jr. (Ann); his grandson Ryan of Shadyside, OH; his daughter Rebekah A. Detling (Jeremie) of Barnesville, OH; his grandchildren, Ayden, Rylen, Grace, Luke, Joel and Bradlyn Detling of Barnesville, OH; his children, James Gasaway (Kristen) and Gerra Gasaway; his grandchildren, Cortney of Choctaw, OK., Carly of Choctaw, OK., Marra of Choctaw, OK., Skyler of Choctaw, OK. and Hagen of Choctaw, OK.; his siblings, Edward Sandy (Lynn) of Bellaire, OH, Georgene Carpino of Shadyside, OH, Karen Stack (Richard) of Jacobsburg, OH and Pamela Moore of Jacobsburg; and his sister-in-law Sally Marling of Bellaire, OH. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
